A Note From The Artist:

RADIA II is a collection of recorded motions in the Neon Captain Radiator Laser Synthesizer, Output directly to a modified Vectrex Gaming Console from the early 1980’s, to create a medium commonly referred to as “Oscillographics” or Vector Synthesis as it may be known in other circles.

Both devices are quite rare and so never quite combined in such a way until now.

By sending voltage from the radiator to the X, Y, and Z inputs of the vectrex or common oscilloscope, new shapes and forms begin to appear on screen.

Those are then captured on a digital camera sensor and exported.

Such is later expanded upon by placing optical elements, such as prisms and color gels between the lense and screen.

The result is something much hazier and hypnotic.

Use directly in your hypno, or in resolume, vdmx or max, msp. Each clip will work just fine. Process in post or resample  with additional analog measures for new results to add to your artistic practice.
