What’s in the Box?
Hypno 2 is an all-in-one hardware Audio Visualizer, Video Synthesizer and Re-Sampler. It is inspired by common analog feedback workflows and aims to modernize their use for the ultimate end-to-end video art dream machine. At its core, Hypno 2 runs 2 channels of video and can save clips of its own output to repeatedly re-sample itself so the possibilities are literally endless.
Whether you are a touring band, an installation mastermind or clandestine pixel explorer, Hypno 2 simplifies your setup by integrating a display, controller, mic, animation systems, MIDI, Analog I/O, a high volume SSD and more in one small box. Not only is it amazing standalone, it can capture clips from your other video gear via a capture card so you no longer have to lug it to the show. A true back-saver for the sleepy Video Artist or Musician!
The Hypno 2’s UI uses a unique touchscreen + haptic encoder control scheme. Every parameter is always labeled & spatially consistent with the encoder/button layout while the haptic motor delivers contextual cues. This design is focused on reducing guesswork for the performer and leaning further in to video sampling friendliness, while maintaining the strong, now user programmable, video synthesis capabilities Hypno is known for.
Hypno 2 represents all of the learnings of the past 5 years producing Hypno 1. It uses the battle-proven proprietary sleepy codebase that has been in development over the past 7+ years.
